The idea of the Bludgers Guide is to offer families some great solutions to family fun – at little or no cost.

The administrators – Jon & Karen Roberts, came up with the idea of the Bludgers Holiday several years ago due to a severe lack of funds.  We explained the idea to our two children, that we were going to try and see if we could fill the school summer holidays with maximum fun at minimum cost.  The first summer we did this, it was a great adventure simply by trying to be as cheap as possible – lots of picnics!  But eventually even the most hardened families can get sick and tired of picnics, with a lot of imagination we came up with some great ideas we want to share.

We would also like your input, after all, our imagination can only stretch so far!  We believe that within a large group of like-minded families we could create a great resource, beat the credit-crunch and give our families a great time.

We would love to share ideas and maybe even media (photos, videos etc) of families taking part in the activity described.

We welcome your membership of this blog, but ask that you register and submit your posts/comments for moderation – this will help keep the blog family orientated.  Also, drop us an email if you wish to become an author – this will enable you to write your own posts directly.

In the coming week, we will also add a discussion forum to this blog, giving members a chance to discuss a given topic.
